Bee My Story

Bee My Story is a collaborative board game designed for children aged 8-12 that fosters storytelling, perspective-taking, and creativity. Two players work together to construct a unique meaningful story while collecting specific shapes on hexagonal tiles. The game encourages children to see the world from different perspectives, in this context particularly, their partner's narrative contributions. It is designed to be used in informal contexts including classrooms during in-door recess, after-school programs, or at-home leisure time. In addition to supporting traditional learning goals in ELAR, it promotes social connections and relationships. The overall goal of the game is to enhance children’s ability to take others’ point of view, and create meaningful, logical, and engaging stories using storytelling elements such as characters, settings, and conflicts. The use of felt and acrylic make it visually appealing, but more importantly, durable, and suitable for repeated use in recreation.
