The Color Monster

This is a curriculum that will help autistic students with: knowing what emotions are, how they work, and how to use them and manage them for social interaction and learning. The overall goal is to help first and second-grade autistic students to know about emotions at an early age and help them better on living and working. Students will gain the capacity to recognize other people's emotions, discriminate among the different feelings, and label them appropriately. This lesson will help students with everything from anger management to emotion identification to meditation. This resource is great for the classroom teacher, school counselors, or parents looking to target social-emotional skills during academic blocks.
